QUIZ RALLY

Quiz Rally is normally scheduled for March or April. It is an all day event - usually beginning at about 8:00 AM and finishing at about 4:00 PM. Teams for Quiz Rally are divided by age and rating level. There are 3 to 4 members on each team. If a club doesn't have enough competing members for a whole team, members from different clubs can be combined to form a 'scramble' team.

The different divisions are as follows:

1. Junior D (& unrated) - 12 years of age or less

2. Senior D (& unrated) - 13 to 25 years of age

3. Junior C/B - 14 years of age or less

4. Senior C/B - 15 to 25 years of age

5. B/H/H-HA/A - teams of only 2 members 14-25 years of age

There are 5 phases to Quiz:

Classroom - Oral questions are asked in a classroom setting.

Barn - A hands-on phase where team members are each asked to demonstrate something and then the team is asked a team question.

Stations- Teams rotate through a series of stations and work together to answer creative questions or perform a task.

Mega-Room - Each team members works individually to identify different horse related items set out on a table.

Written Test - The written test is comprised of 25 questions and each team member answers them individually.
